Buttons For You

Tim, Richie, and I made some buttons by collaging some magazines, books, comic books, etc together to form these wonderful items. Richie supplied the button maker as well as all the other button ingredients, which was amazing.

Songs I Just Can't Quit

I am the kind of person who can listen to a song or album I like over and over and over again and pretty much never get tired of it. The only real reason I move on from them is because I find new sets of songs that slowly take their place, and the cycle repeats. They aren't necessarily new songs, just ones I gravitate towards at the time. Below are some links where you can listen to some of my current favorites that I just can't stop jammin to. Hope you enjoy! (Almost all the links are to the website Hype Machine aside from the first one).

The Jackson 5 - "I wanna be where you are"

Royksopp - "Happy Up Here"

Lil Wayne Vs. The Office Theme - Office Music (Clockwork Edit)

Basement Jaxx - "Raindrops"

The Cool Kids - "Bassment Party"

Maritime - "Parade of Punk Rock T-shirts"

Final Fantasy - "What do you think will happen next"

Friendly Fires - "Jump in the pool"

From One Blogger to Another

Richie Brown is a cool dude from my school who wrote a sweet song of thanks just because I posted a link on his Facebook wall. I think that this series of actions and reactions we have created is pretty great. I am looking forward to more cause and effect in the future. Here is his site where you can listen to the song and take a look around at the rest!

Why be such a dick Trebek?

What up all, it's been a while since I posted something up but this just has to be said. Alex Trebek is such a dick. Every night around dinner time my mom likes to watch her shows, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. But as I sit there and catch a lil bit of each show I can't help but happen to notice how Trebek has to be a dick every time someone gets something wrong. I mean I get it, as the host you have the answer key but that doesn't mean you know all the answers. This guy drives me crazy with that dumb smug look on his face, corny ass sense of humor and know it all attitude. Fuck you Trebek! I don't even watch the whole show and thats how much you piss me off. I wish I could vote you off the show and replace you with somebody with style and class like Maury Povich. I'll Say Word to that.

Pandora Is Not The Ultimate In Music Websites

So probably everyone ever knows about the music site www.Pandora.com and I definitely have to give it up to Pandora because it absolutely serves its purpose, but there are 3 other music sites I like better and are just as easy and free!!!

1.) www.hypem.com - This website is called The Hype Machine and it's really great. You can sign up for free and the music streams from music blogs all over the internet for free. When you sign up you can favorite songs and they get added to your 'dashboard'. Once you have a list going on your dashboard you can just click play on the top song and it will go down your dashboard list. It's great and it is a great site for mash-ups and remixes too.

2.) http://wearehunted.com/ - This site is pretty incredible. It lists the 99 most popular emerging songs in the world! Woah neat! The list gets updated to keep up with the most popular at the moment, but I don't know how often. These songs also just stream live and you don't have to create an account to listen. You can sign up and create your own chart, which sounds great, but I haven't yet done so, so I can't say whether or not its wonderful. Sounds like it though.

3.) http://8tracks.com/ - 8 Tracks is a site that you sign up for and then create your own 8 song mixes, like a mix tape! You can upload songs, or you can search the already uploaded songs. You can browse other people's mixes by genre and you can favorite their mixes as well. It's pretty fun! When you make a new mix you get to title it and add any picture or photo you want to represent it.

So all three of these sites are really great alternatives to Pandora because I find with Pandora that I hear way too much music that I already know! If I want to do that, I'll just listen to my iTunes. Don't get me wrong, Pandora has its place, but these three sites are great in my opinion especially for finding new songs and new versions of old songs you love! I hope you all enjoy!
